- Well written the book.It covers the whole Modern Indian history.
Presentation is good
Key points at the end of each chapter are very useful for revision.
Bipan Chandra’s “History of Modern India” is interesting to read but from the examination perspective Spectrum is better
Outscores Bipan Chandra’s “History of Modern India” because of its neat presentation.
Though the size of the book is small, the font size is normal.
Nothing new is added in the new edition.
- Reading now. Well summarized. “Summary” section at the end is especially good.
- only read if short on time….all prelims questions can be answered after thoroughly reading it. if time is there, go through and India’s struggle for independence….will help in mains.
